    SA and WIN Garands for sale, most from CMP

    I’m retiring this summer and sometime in the next year or two we will be moving to a smaller house. I will not have room for all my collection, so I’m selling a few.

    Post war SA M1, purchased from the CMP as a Danish, less wood in 2004. Serial number 43388xx, with barrel date of 9-53, breach is in the white. TE is 4 or 4.5, muzzle swallows the gauge. Price is 1500 plus shipping.

    Trigger Group – post war with SA-11 safety
    Bullet Guide – stamped without notch
    Gas Cylinder Lock – high hump

    Windage Knob – DRC
    Stock – has a SA over two initials with a faint ordnance wheel to the right.


    World War II SA M1, purchased from the CMP as a service grade in 2004. Serial number 36301xx, with barrel date of S-A-3-45, breach is in the white. TE is 2, muzzle is a 1. Price is 2000 plus shipping.

    World War II SA M1, purchased from the CMP as a service grade in 2002. Serial number 21703xx, with barrel date of 3-S-A-10-43, breach is not in the white. Receiver looks like original finish, but the barrel has clearly been refinished. TE is 3, muzzle is a 2. Price is 2000 plus shipping.

    Stock – has a faint SA over GHS with a large ordnance wheel to the right. One P on grip. There is some evidence of pitting on the receiver leg before it was refinished. Also includes a WWII leather sling. There are some markings on it, but I can‘t make them out.

    Ops Rod – Uncut D35382WRA, slant with a punch on the top of the handle
    Trigger Group – housing D28290-W.R.A. with round hole, A marked Trigger, C46008-1W.R.A. hammer, with C46015-4W.R.A. safety marked low on the left side. Guard is forged, numbered C46025-W.R.A.

    Stock – 2 P’s on the grip. I don’t see any other markings, it does have a v cut in the trigger group area. I think it is a WIN stock.
