    1940's H & R Reisling Model 165 Leatherneck 22 Long Rifl

Supposedly some of this type of Reising rifle was used for military training during WWII, four digit serial number, came standard with a Lyman peep sight 10 round magazine, bolt cocking is under the forearm as is the Reising sub machine gun, feel Garand like in length and very heavy for a 22 rifle.

US Marine Corp used the model 65 not the model 165. Model 65 has a M1 Garand type front sight. American Rifleman did a photo shoot of Marines using them in training. I believe it was late 40s or early 50s. Maybe Jersey Devil will post the article.
