    Crazy times.

Colt of all companies been in bankruptcy for a while.
    Remington ate it.
Smith & Wesson almost bit the big one a while back.
    The original Bushmaster went bankrupt.
Winchester U.S. Repeating Rifles went bankrupt.
Many more companies got bought out then crushed.
So un-American if you ask me.

Hopefully cz will do them right which I think they will, it's not some "investment" group.

If CZ does buy Colt it will give them the right to manufacture the AR 15 family of military weapons in the Czech Republic. They could then market Colt branded ARs and replacement parts to former com bloc countries that are now Nato members or western aligned. Doing this with out interference from the US State Dept. They could most likely make them cheaper than Colt could in the USA. They would retain domestic production for US Military, Police and civilian sales.

Don't forget that they would be able to produce CZ products here and sell them without any import duties. I'm banking on them being smart enough to keep the plant here active just for that purpose. Besides, they would keep the Colt brand alive with better management.

CZ is in process of building its headquarters and manufacturing plant in Port Little Rock Arkansas on 70 plus acres. CZ estimates it will employ over 500 workers when completed.
I doubt CZ would not consolidate manufacturing in one facility. Why keep COLT and Dan Wesson manufacturing in anti gun high tax states when you can do it all in Arkansas.

I didn't think about all of that, I don't have any CZs, I know they are pretty nice but since I don't own any my interest in them is pretty low, but it sounds like a win-win-win to me. That would be a nice change in the gun industry! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, guys.

              Good point.
At least they would still be in the U.S., which was really my point. I worded my comment poorly. Derp.
