    Smith and Wesson Model A

My favorite hunting rifle is also the first center fire rifle that I owned. I bought it in 1971 I think, and it was brand new. Most people would not associate Smith and Wesson with modern rifles, but it was a contract job. It was made by Husqvarna in Sweden. It is chambered in 30.06 and I have hunted deer, impala, gemsbok and blue wildebeest (pictured) with it. It would be probably the last rifle that I would ever sell. That was a 220 gr Woodleigh soft point handload for the BWB.
