my three digit Winchester hunting rifle

My Winchester Model 1905 semi auto hunting rifle. and it was manufactured in 1905 too. Caliber is
35 Winchester Self Loading. While not factory loaded in many years, it is very easy to make by turning
off the rim on a 38 special case, then cut an extractor groove on the lathe. Also uses 351 diameter lead
bullets between 150 and 160 grs near 357 magnum velocity.

Most interesting is to be able to shoot a center fire semi auto rifle that was manufactured in 1905. Not
    too many stamped parts either

Well it is a 110 year old rifle with a nice bore and still shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger. Range and accuracy
is like a 357 magnum in a rifle. I would consider it much better than the 30M1 carbine but not as good as the 30-30

If I had too guess about the rifles accuracy? comparable too a .357 lever action @ 100yds, say 2-3in. Range about the same 100yds and enough umph too drop a nice deer.

I had one made in 1906,but My forearm was shattered(very common),and I never could find a magazine or ammo.I gave it to my brother without ever being able to fire it.

That is really neat. I like those old rifles. Reminds me of a time when people took pride in their work and gun makers were real craftsmen.

I read about Winchester Model 1905. It's a history! You are lucky, as you have it. I think that high quality rifle affect the result and good hunter must have a good rifle. I ordered my on http://www.atncorp.com/ and glad to have it.
