        Oh I see. Ok.
Have you ever fired the .22 caliber training version of the M1903? Those are really neat!

No, I have seen them but haven't found any for sale. Last Garand match was in 2007, Injured on job in 08. Hip surgery 2012, Back in 2013, Another back this fall. Can't kneel or fire prone, Can still fire a 12 gauge from the hip. Oh Well!

            That is a sweet rifle.
Is this brand the only one to make a 6 groove, I thought they were all 4 grooves?

Sorry to hear about the injuries, I feel your pain. I have pretty serious chronic pain from broken discs and facet joint damage in at least half the levels in my neck so even .308 is getting tough to shoot sometimes, I get incredible inflammation and migraines from it.

We still can collect them though and will still have it in our blood!

High Standard was the OE barrel maker for Smith Corona so its no wonder SC rifles enjoy a reputation for better than average accuracy. Early SC 03a3 production rifles used the 6 groove barrels. They were originally for a commercial rifle contract and when the war came everything was used too get rifle production up and moving. After all the 6 groove barrels were used up in 03a3 production, they switched too 4 groove barrels too keep up with demand.

From what I understand only about 4K 6 grooves were made. Only the initial 4000.
