    Cmp 1903a3

I was at the Anniston store Friday to get a IHC Garand but also picked up an 03A3. Don't know very much about these rifles, so I've ordered a couple books but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone could tell me if these stock markings are correct for serial# 40975XX. It also has a barrel dated 9-43.
Don't even know what the markings are in front of the trigger guard.
    Thanks

Over the years several Cartushes have been let’s say they were not the real deal, getting it from CMP usually is the real deal. You tube has some info, but you even have to be careful on what you hear on you tube. My 1903 had termite infestation, I bought it so long ago I really don’t recall if the stock had markings, I am pretty sure it went thru depot, at least twice. So what ever was their from Springfield originally was upgraded. On the CMP web site they state they no longer have 1903 of any type. AJ

The FJA cartouche if Frank J Atwood. The RA is a rebuild stamp from Raritan Arsenal. The stamps on the bottom are sub-inspector stamps.
      Looking for SA bayonet 1045220
