Here are some pics of my april '44 mostly original ibm carbine. i have the original stock and hand guard with the proper cartouches.

That's truly beautiful. Yours, as well as all the '44s I've seen are haunting me as I sold my Inland 6-44, yours is in much better shape though than mine was. What a great carbine you have.

Mostly original??!!?? Hardly original. IBM NEVER made an A1 model. Inland was the sole maker of the M1A1 carbine. Also, an M1A1 would have a type I, not type II barrel band.

i posted pics of the original stock and hand guard on my original ibm !! i know inland was the only original maker of m1a1 's !!!!!
