Just thought I’d share this with everyone. In the Army and stationed in West Germany I took this picture in 1960 near the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin of two West German police (Bundespolizei) carrying M1 Carbines that the U.S. had furnished. Some sections of the Berlin Wall had not been completed as yet and there were remains of bombed out buildings remaining in that city. An interesting time for me as a young 19 yr. old pfc.
