    1943 M-1 Garand Bayonet

I would like to buy a bayonet for my 1943 Springfield Armory M-1Garand. I see lots out there, tepid, replicas, knockoffs etc. can anyone tell me exactly what to look for?

You need a 10" M1 bayonet dated 1943 or a 10 inch M1 cut down bayonet. M1 cut down bayonets were 16 inch bayonets cut down to 10 inch blades. If you can not tell a real one from a Chinese or Indian knock off do not buy one on ebay. I suggest you place an ad in the wanted section of this forum and buy one from a fellow member. M5 and M5A1 bayonets were issued post Korean war.
