    I think they are more "uncommon" than rare. I have accumulated 4 or 5 of these over the years. Although I don't consider myself a yard-sale person I have actually purchased two of them at yard sales where the owners said they had them quite a while but could not anything that they would fit.
    I seem to recall reading somewhere that they were imported years ago and sold as regular Mauser bayonets but the new owners found out they would not fit. Maybe an old wives tale, but something I heard.
    Not sure when they were used but all of mine show significant use for sure.

    Turkish M1 Garand Bayonets

    Anyone have a Turkish Mauser bayonet modified for use on the M1 Garand. I saw one in Sarco but it was $75.00 an no scabbard.Found one on ebay with scabbard for $40.00 shipped. Are they rare and were they used by the Turks in Korea?
