Colt 606

Back in the late 80's early 90's some dealers had the upper Colt 606 for sale. The uppers from these exports were
from Canada. The full auto lowers were not imported. These upper 606's were like new and cost $180.00 each.
What is special about the 606 was the heavy barrel still with a 1 in 12 twist, one of the first Colt heavy barrels if not
the first model. The heavy barrel was for sustained fire not targets, I have used the 606 with a SP1 lower on targets
and nothing special in accuracy. The Colt 606 used a while plastic buffer, these are still around too

So the upper is nothing different its just the barrel correct?
What upper is the barrel mounted on, cant see from the pic

The upper is Colt, these uppers were sold as a complete upper and came from Canada. It is the Colt Model 606.
The selective fire lower was not imported but remained in Canada. Not realy rare but also not common but they
are around. Note the Colt stamps on the upper
