Winchester developed the 25 Winchester or 6.35x48 from the old 25 Remington autoloading cartridge, the green tip duplex is headstamped WCC 59 whicle the ball cartridge is head stamped FA 59.

This might have been an excellent cartridge for the then new AR-15

I thought there was a new AR-15 cartridge called the 30 Remington (modified from the original which were 25 Rem, 30 Rem and 32 Rem) ?
