New and questions???
What's up guys? I'm new to the M1 world. I have the opportunity to purchase an M1, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at. This gun does not look like anything I've seen. Can you guys help me out?

Hi Adrian. Welcome to the forum. Plenty of seasoned experts here (which doesn't include myself - I'm still in the early stages of the M1 world). That looks like an M-1 Carbine. If there are special variants of it, others here make be able to supply knowledge off the top of their heads. Using some input from experts, you can then make some more reasonable/targeted Google searches and you may learn quite a bit in short order. Good luck. Many say the M-1 is a fun plinker. -

Yes its a M1Carbine but is it a commercial rifle or USGI ?You need to post alot more info as well as close up clear pics for us to be able to help youComment

M1 Carbine. +1 to Orlando, if it's USGI and it looks to be in good shape and you can get a good deal on it I'd snag it. I have seen them going for North of $1000. here at the gun shows, not in collector condition.
