My first experience with the M1 was as an ROTC cadet in the 1960s as that was what we had issued for field training. Fell in love with it then as the exquisit creation it is. Over the years I have aquired 6 of them and have never lost the sense of respect and beauty of this firearm. If only any of these rifles could talk, imagine the stories it could tell. Recently found this forum and look forward to always learning more.
