    Mike from Pinson, Alabama

Purchased my first M1 about 12 years ago. Then I came down with the bug, Garanditis. Realized I was late to this party. Since that time I have become interested in other U.S. Infantry Rifles; 1903 and a3, 1917, M1 Carbine. I have a few of each except for a 1903. Lately, I have been reading more about the Garand in an effort to improve my knowledge base. I enjoy reading others posts and will probably read a lot more than than I post.

Welcome to the forum. You should be close to CMP's South Store. Too bad the stores have been closed temporarily.

Yes. I have been to the south store a few years ago and wound up buying 4 rifles. The south store has moved from the location they were when I purchased those 4 rifles. I haven't been to the new location but I have read that it is very much different from what it was before. I'm planning on going to the Marksmanship Park soon. It's even closer than the south store. I am very fortunate to live close to these stores. I need to start taking advantage of it again.
