Shaun, you need to watch your back on this site next thing you know you will have a M1. That could be a good thing you might not be so obsess with the 14 stuff especially the early type stuff.

That sounds like a do-able plan! Trade off my early M14 obsession for early M1 items. Sounds expensive, but challenging and fun. Only issue is I know a good bit about the M14... I would have to start from scratch to learn the M1 and its early variations, tools, gages, and reasons for the changes.
