Greetings from the Central Coast of California

It's as hot here today as the hinges on the gates of hell but, it's home. Dry too. What can you do but go to the range. Had a great day shooting, now I have to go clean up the Garand. Not known for the heat here on the coast but it was in the mid 90's in the shade today so kept the round count down and just had fun.
Great place, glad Phil recommended it, looking forward to the info and connections. Thanks for letting me jump on board.
Been shooting since I was a kid in the 50's. Garands mostly for the last several years. Yes, I have the disease. I have refused the vaccine. My wife keeps offering. My hearing isn't so good anymore so I just pretend I don't hear her. It used to work.

oops, spoke too soon, fog just rolled in, now I'm freezing my butt stock off... that's the ocean for you... kinda glad, no A/C...

    Hi Bruce,
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and join up. We hope you stay a while!
I've been following the weather out your way, and yes.......it looks just awful temperature-wise out there!!
Looking forward to your contributions here.
    Cheers from NJ.

Thanks Brian, very nice job getting this forum of the ground, great bunch of moderators and members, glad to be here. I've been shooting and working on Garands for several
years but the knowledge base here is pretty impressive, got a feeling I'll be on the learning end most of the time and that's fine by me. Have been saving up a bunch of WWII photos, maybe I can post them as time goes by. Not sure if the photo part of the software is working, seems to be a dead link when I hit it but it could be me... will try again.

          Welcome to the forum Bruce!
I've been sweating my soul away here in NC lately, so I feel you on the heat! I miss the dry heat of New Mexico... but NC is home.

Greetings Bruce. Where on the central Coast are you located? I'm in SB and have not seen another Garand at the range. It would be good to see another one sometime.
