Greetings all. After 50 plus years of active shooting and retired from several careers in Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Photography I finally decided to add a M1 to my collection. Having been active on many forums since 2001 it made sense to me to join another one about my latest acquisition. Since a M1D caught my eye at the CMP Marksmanship Park in Alabama and followed me home time to dig in to all the combined knowledge out there to better appreciate my rifle. Looking forward to being a member of the community.

I lived MANY years in West Central Florida in Citrus County. Always liked the rural nature of central Fla.
It has changed/grown quite a bit since I left in the early 90's though.
