    New guy from WA

I'm a US Army combat veteran. Served in Iraq with the 1st I.D.
I now work at an independent auto repair shop as a drive-ability technician.
I just received my CMP "special" Garand last week, and shot it this last weekend. Shoots smoothly, looks awesome, doesn't like to load clips, and has a terrible trigger. Hopefully it gets better as it breaks in.
Also, I may not be shooting it very well, but my groups seem to be about 4" at 100 yards. To me that seems terrible, but I come from the AR15.
I look forward to learning lots about this beast.
I bought some of the PPU ammo and have a die set coming to load for it.

If you can put all 8 rds in a 4' group at 100yds with surplus ammo you are doing pretty well. Please feel free to join in any discussions or ask any questions you may have.
