Hello,

I have had a Garand for the last few years, but was just informed by a friend that I might have a nicer one that I though. He is not a real expert, but said that it may be a matching IH M1 from the mid fifties. I would like to learn exactly what I have, and this forum looks like the perfect place to do so.

This forum is awesome and I look forward to learning all that I can about Garands!

Welcome to the forum. You will have to take plenty of pictures of the individual parts to help us determine if you have a matching rifle.
