Boyd’s gun stock

Are they worth it? I picked up a H&R garand last summer with a Boyd’s rifle stock. Been debating on finding an original era stock

Boyds stock or Dupage /CMP/ Boyds?
The original Boyds stocks are oversized but nothing wrong with them. The stocks that Dunpage sells and commercial stocks CMP has on their rifles are Boyds but are thinned down closer to USGI stock specs
A commercial stock will fit better than a old worn USGI stock and normally give better accuracy

oh ok, I was mainly worried about proper fit and feel. And weather or not I try and find an original era period rifle stock to match the rifle.

I picked it up from an RCMP officers up here in Canada, and he said he switched it out with a newer Boyd’s stock in 2019

we don’t have many Garands floating around here in Canada, especially in my neck of the woods.

If Boyds its fatter than USGI but again since its new wood it wont be compressed like old USGI wood.
