DuLite ???

Does anyone have any information or experience with the original DuLite finish used by Winchester?

They are still in business.. Do a 'google'.. they now have a blackener for 400 and 300 series stainless steel.

I have nothing to back this up,but I was told by someone who finished firearms in several different finishes that the Dulite of today is not the same as the Dulite that was used in WW2.I sure wish I could find some though,I have a few WRA gas cylinders that could use some refinishing.

Winchester plated the cylinders before the Dulite finish (ref Duff's WW2 book)
