M1 Trigger group issue, a 1st for me. Please help

Simple M1 Garand trigger housing swap-out.
Set in the rifle is an early D28290-WRA, pad was modified, has "cloverleaf" hole. Using all the same internals and pins,
I swapped out for an early D28290-WRA in original configuration. Un-modded pad, no cloverleaf.
Now however, the trigger/sear won't release the hammer when squeezed.
    WTH??? Any thoughts? TIA.

Never mind. Altho the original pins look fine, I replaced them with a set of unused ones (not sure if GI or not), but issue solved.

Though you said you solved the problem you may still have a common problem associated with the stock and not the trigger group. Very often the trigger extension that drops into the slot in the stock at the rear of the trigger group will contact the stock and restrict the release of the hammer. If it contacts there it may still release but it will almost always result in a false increased trigger pull. Look for a mark in the center slot of that cut out. If you see a line in the wood caused by trigger contact, deepen the slot.
