    M1 misfeed question

Not sure if this is the right spot for this question or not. Today I was out had three misfeeds where the round hopped completely out and got smashed by the bolt. (pic included) These three happened when I got to the second to last round in the clip. Not fun to be looking down the sights and looking at the primer of the round looking back at you. I have not changed my loads as it has been the same load I have used for 100's of rounds before 45gr of IMR 4895 with either the Hornady 3037 or Sierra 2130 in 150gr. The only thing that has changed this time was I finally was able to get the correct June 1945 trigger assembly for this rifle and this was the first time I fired the rifle with that new assembly. Could the trigger assemble cause this to happen? Does it need to be broken in? Or could it be something else?

    Thanks

What 8 round clips are you using? GI or new repros

RDS, I do believe all the clips I have are repos they are marked AEO and one has no markings on it. Could be the problem as I took one bad one out and put in a new one in the rotation. I have had no issues with the clips I have so this is what threw me off as to what the problem could be. I just might get some true GI ones and see if the issue continues.

Do an internet search on the AEO new made clips. I have heard there maybe some problems associated with them.

It was the clips. I picked up some new clips from Ammo Garand and finally was able to get to the range today. Shot 120 rounds with no ejection problems what so ever. I got some JMO, SA and BRW clips to have a little variety just in case one type did not work, but they all worked flawless. So I am scrapping those AEO ones.
Working...
