    Bore Cleaner

I was recently gifted 200+ rounds of WWII era (41-43) Ball ammo.
I know it has corrosive primers.
I have GI Bore Cleaner Spec RIXS-205 and Spec RIXS-205 Rev 1.
Will these cleaners remove the corrosive compounds from these primers.
I assumed, when I bought it at a gun show, that it was made for this purpose.

If the contents are a milky white color it contains water which removes the corrosive salts. If the contents are black it contains no water and won't remove the salts. I use boiling hot water to remove the corrosive salt from my black powder muzzle loader.

Is the ammo in enblocs or bandoliers?
I may be wrong but I would think the ammo from that era could start becoming a collector's item. Maybe you could sell it or trade it for a larger quantity of modern garand ammo.
    Looking for SA bayonets 922033 & 1045220

Here is what you seek. The first number is correct. Back in the day when Garands were $165 and you could select manuf. it went for $1.00/can.

Ballistol is an excellent cleaner to use after firing corrosive ammunition, it was designed originally for that purpose.
