    Synthetic M1 Stock On eBay

I just found and bought a synthetic M1 stock on eBay for $75. It's used but looks pretty good. No handguards though. This is going to be a long term project as this is the first piece.

Interesting. Any idea of the manufacturer?

      Looks like a Ram-Line stock.

I thought it looked like the Champion that I've seen on Midway USA. Seller didn't say and doesn't come with the handguards. I'm planning on a rail but don't know what I'm gonna do about the other one yet.

Holy crap! Just found the hand guards from another seller on eBay! These are Ram-Lines but I won't know til Monday if I win. I really prefer the Buy It Now option but he's only using the Auction. Wish me luck and please don't bid on my handguards! Thanks!

There is a lot of bidders on ebay that do not bid till there is 25 seconds left in the auction. That's why Gun Broker has the 15 min rule. On Gun Broker if you post a bid with less than 15 mins left the bid time resets to 15 mins..

            This:

But, you don't really want to see the price Midway sells it for when in stock. :-(

            And this for $80:

I've seen 'em. Nobody has 'em in stock though and I'm not known for my patience.

Nor trying to discourage you but just so you know the ramline Garand stocks do not have a good reputation

Well I figure if I build this rifle and I don't like the Ram-Line, I can always got a wood stock and put the Ram-Line right back on eBay.

I won my handguards and I was the only bidder. The stock also arrived yesterday. It's got some light scratches in it but nothing major. For the hell of it, I test fit it on my '44 and it was pretty tight and solid. I remain optimistic that this will not suck.

Just shoot it and give it a try, give it a chance to settle into the stock and see what kind of groups it can do. There is a possibility it might be good. I don't have experience with these for the M1, my friend had a Standard M1A with the plastic stock that was a super shooter, even did a 3 shot group at 100 yards smaller than a dime. Worth a try!

Hi. I know this is a little necro posting, but how did it go? I'm thinking about getting a Champion, H&W, or Ramline myself, just to preserve the really pretty furniture I have on my M1. Ed

Never got around to it. Still looking for a receiver. Midway has the Champions for $54.99 with mostly favorable reviews.

Hi. Thanks for the response. I've ordered an H&W synthetic stock and I'll post how it turns out. Ed
