Shot the 308 M1 Garand the first time

Shot 20 rounds through the Garand had an old box of Winchester 150 grain 308 must of got at an auction years ago. Used 8 rounds to adjust the wind age to the right, the elevation was as low as it would go so held a little low at 100 yards. Considering am of senior age and had a detached retina in my right shooting eye fixed am pleased with this group of 5 at 100 yards. Both 8 round Garand clips hit me right on top of my head when they were empty, light weight though.

Nice shooting! Might need a new clip ejector spring to avoid those pings on the head.

Dave, The clips might of come down where they did because of shooting in the roofed part of the outdoor range to stay out of the bright sun will have to try shooting the rifle in the uncovered part and see where they land.
