    Type I Rear Sight

A Type I rear sight I needed "un-bubba'd" by Hueygunner.. Not bad..

that is an unusual checkering pattern on the elevation pinion assembly

I will have to inspect the checkering but the pinion itself is not an original short pinion. Someone along the way attempted to thread the lockbar onto a long pinion and buggered part of the threads.. That was the only thing represented as wrong with the sight upon purchase.

when the type 1 lock bar was introduced into the system all the windage knobs were knurled

the elevation knob and pinion appear to be fake.

Roger that sir. I will take your thoughts on the windage knob into consideration and replace with an early knurled knob. In my last message I mentioned that the pinion was not an original. Hueygunner cut down the long pinion and retapped the threads etc..

I have not truly scrutinized it yet as I have been up to my elbows with the Gas Trap project.
