    I see the legend is on top of the chamber area, I've seen a few like that mostly the Marlin's. but I've got too say the barrel date stamped sdrawkcab is a new one for me.

      the barrel dates were all upsidedown from June 1940 to around Oct 1942 approx. serial number 924708

        this barrel is on a 216K rifle with a revision 2 bolt, operating rod, trigger housing and hammer !

              In January 1941 the drawing number on barrels changed to D35448-4 a few overlaps with the early D-35448-4 have surfaced in early 1941. All the rest are D35448 with the revision number
