SA 3291967 my last CMP service grade

I waited almost 8 months for two Service Grade Garands and when they got to the house a few weeks ago I was shocked to find two 1944 SA's. Both had new stocks and HG's, but other than that had all SA parts and 1967 is completely correct with a ME and TE of 1+. All I needed for 1967 was a GHD stock, HG's, and a Type III lockbar. In 1967 I finished my first tour in Nam flying helicopter gunships so 1967 has a lucky number to boot! I got the stock from Dupage and the lock bar and HG's from Dave a friend on the CMP forum. $440 well spent. By the way, the op rod has not been Radius Cut. Here are some pictures.

Turned out nice!! That Dupage stock! Those handguards are stunning!! Perfect match!! First I turned you onto that stock, then the HGs and site parts! LOL. Maybe the parts you received were in honor of your Vietnam service. Lost both my brothers from their Vietnam service. Enjoy that M1!!! Dave

Very nice rifles, congrats! It must have been a great feeling to come home to two of them. I agree with Dave, what a nice GAW stock!

It's terrific they're still shipping rifles like these.
Sorry Mr. President, the people we defeated in WW2 were not "fine people," and America's war dead are not "suckers" and "losers."
