    Assistance in Stock ID

I have spent numerous hours reviewing information from this forum over the last month. I was happy to pick up a DEC 1944 SA receiver (3419743) with a JAN 1945 SA barrel during a road trip to the CMP South store this weekend. The rifle has a dark wood stock with numerous nicks and dings, but overall I am very happy with my first M1. I already have plans for more, but will take a little more time to determine my next purchase.

I am interested in my stock which has no cartouche and only a couple of markings - "A" on pistol grip and "12" or "72" under butt plate. It has the trap door but not sure what plate is attached. If anyone can identify who produced this stock, I would appreciate the information. ‚Äč
