        Excellent!
I always find it funny when I see a military arm with the sling using the stacking swivel instead of the actual front swivel by itself. (Or better yet, an M1907 sling on backwards.)
I think one time I saw the stacker used was an episode of MASH with Klinger on guard duty and the sling was run through the front swivel and attached to the stacking one too. Couldn't look away.

BTW: Nice military radio in the corner. Still work and has the dynamotor in it, or is it a version without one? (Hard to tell from the photo and my memory is fuzzy too.)

First time I used the stacking swivels was at ITR in the Marine Corp. We stacked out rifles outside out shelter halves and they were monitored by the firewatch.

Radio gear in the photo is Collins commercial gear. KWS-1 tx and 75-A4 rx. 100% operational. Don't use it much any more, but occasionally I give the folks on 80 mtr AM a treat.

Last time I did stack arms was in JROTC in 1986, we had 1903 Springfields. I wish we had M1 Garands. But looking back I enjoyed an era where guns were allowed in school, a whole rack of them in the classroom. Imagine that.

Used to be most schools around here had their own shooting ranges and teams. My eldest son, now retired from the Coast Guard after 30 years , Eagle project was getting the indoor range which is under the local grammar school gym back working with good ventilation. Wasn't long and the democraps shut it down. Shame is, the way things are going we might have a need for young riflemen and women again.
