64903 Springfield Receiver from CMP.

Just wondering how lucky the odds are that you can still get a receiver this early in production. Felt pretty awesome to open up that CMP case!!!

In the past, 6 digit Garands from CMP were pretty common. They are cool to have but don't really have a higher value. Out of the 7 Garands I bought from CMP 2 were 6 digit and out of 4 grade A and B grade receivers half were. My built up match rifle is one of those.

Sorry to be so slow to reply but it is the Garand Special so only the receiver is that number. But if somebody was interested in the rifle let me know.

On ANY M1 rifle only the receiver is that number--the serial number, because ALL other numbers are drawing, or part numbers.
