I found these in my stash last night while digging around for early SA parts.

If you change your mind I have a spare Winchester bolt, rear app., clip latch, and a few other parts.

Very early SA had open arrowheads like Winchester and it's difficult to differentiate between the two.

Yea, when I started out those SA open arrows were being sold as WRA's (and here we are at arrow tips again, ...). I want to say it was Burt Kellersted (?) that had an absolutely gorgeous, near mint, original gastrap in the late teens (maybe a 19k?) that had that arrow tip on there. When it happens, it is very neat to nail down something like that.

Springfield open arrows are always straight , with the exception of modelshop and that's a whole different ball of wax . That windage knob was used from beginning of production through 20k range. I would have loved to seen Burt's 19k in person but the pictures in the journal are absolutely outstanding. 1630 has the same windage knob....

May I have the info on where to find his article?
I'd love to see the write up.

1630 is also in a GCA journal. I’m not home so I don’t have my index available.

That's a really neat elevation cap. Is that the earliest WRA type?
Any photos of the windage knob for reference??

Charles Redfield sent the sights (as a gift) expressly for s/n 100931. Will take a photo of the windage. He also sent an early rear
                              sight base too.
