new to the forum and I may as well start off with a question on a E.Mc.F stock. overall wood looks great. it is the cartouche I would like advice on. it appears lightly struck. has P proof with serifs. I feel it to be good, not sanded or played with but, would like opinions on it. thank you.

Looks fake to me. Where's the lower case "c" after the M? The cartouche should be E Mc F. The serrifs and font look queer too. I'll have to look at mine when I get home to compare. Mine is legit.

The E and M are too far apart and the spacing between all the characters on the original are not equidistant. E and M are close together but there is space between the M and F where the c would be.

I can see the top of the c between the M and the F. I'm far from an expert on stocks but the legs of the A are centered above the EMcF in the correct spots as well as the fact that the bridge of the M goes down to the correct position. Isn't RickB a member here? If so, shoot him a PM.Comment
