Original IHC Garand

This is a all original IHC I bought off of a private owner several years ago.Every part down to the smallest is IHC
I sent in for a serial search at CMP and it came back as a DCM rifle

Very nice. I had received a IHC from DCM in 1984 as my "one in a lifetime". It was correct except for the stock, bolt and hammer. Other than these parts it appears to be "original".

Gorgeous IHCs!!!

I just found a nice Weatherhead / IHC elevation drum and a nice IHC op rod in my parts box. That's about all the IHCs I have!! LOL

Orlando, I have used your IHC as posted on the CMP as guide for one of my recent IHC purchases. It came mostly correct so it was worth the effort to buy the rest. Need a better stock and maybe a better elevation pinion but all in all she's just about right.

Then I bought a second. This one was about half correct.

Both were absolutely filthy. Still working on cleaning the second plus it needs a barrel band.

Never made a data sheet but here is a link to photos. At the time I wasnt 100% sure the gas cylinder was right but have found out since it is. There are two different types of IHC cylinders, this is one witout the football shape by the bayo lug
