Early SA (4 million)

As far as I know, early (the four million range) of SA M1s came originally built with High Hump Gas Cylinder locks. I think, but am not sure, that they sometimes were built with locks that were not high hump. Is this correct? If this is correct, were they built with the later "M Marked" Gas Cylinder Locks, or the typical WWII Gas Cylinder Locks with the beveled front edge?

There were a LOT of useable WWII parts used on the post-war rifles so yes, you'll find a mix of no/high hump locks. Parts weren't arbitrarily thrown out because of a revision UNLESS there was a safety issue.

I am going to make a selection for whatever best fits the barrel when I assemble this early Post War receiver that I have.
