    LMR Barrel Info

I am looking for any information you can tell me on the meaning of these symbols on my LMR barrel. The barrel has a "P" proof mark before the LMR and after I can make out a "P" and "M" lighter etching. Just past these letters (near transition point of the barrel) I can see what looks like a rough eagle or star etched in the barrel. Is this a DOD marking, similar to a cartouche on a stock? I have not seen this symbol yet, on the LMR barrels I have looked at in the threads. Thanks for any info.

The M is for "Magnafluxed" and yes, the eagle is the DoD acceptance stamp.

      Thanks again for the feedback.

Also, the punch mark between the LMR and drawing number means it's an LMR/IHC barrel. If the punch mark is in or near the loop of the P, it's a replacement barrel.
