    very high serial numbered Springfield

Back in the late 90's I had the chance to buy this for $2500.00 but passed. Did not have cameras like today so I made a rubbing using a candle. Receiver had a mid 1956 dated barrel as I recall. Click image for larger version

I don't know what a SA 6.1 serial range would sell for ? I do remember some were asking 8K for a 6 million H&R.

I have a late Springfield with a SN of 5956525. It is a great shooter, and I've always been curious as to its value.

A 5.9 mil is not sought after or worth more than a earlier 5.8 mil rifle

I wish I had a correct mint 6 mil H & R, those are pretty rare rifles. I would definitely need more $$$$ though.
