    post war Overton spare stock

    Extra stocks were often kept by company armorers for field replacements and some were without proof stamps. This Overton birch stock was such a replacement, the finish was BLO and has stood up well after many years Click image for larger version

            Not shown in my photos is the front sight arrangement - I used the front sights from my M70 Target rifle. This type of front sight is perfect (for me) to use for shooting metal plates offhand at both 100 and 200 yards ‚Äč
