Fairly early IHC

I purchased this from a gentleman who was a volunteer at the South store back in the early days of the CMP. He told me they let him pick a rifle after their weeks work. I don't know whether the volunteers got a price break or not. He only sent me 1/2 of the CMP COA showing the date 2004 & SN, however, he told me that it was a Service Grade and the ME was <2 and it turned out closer to 1. All the parts seem to be correct and the Julian date is in the barrel channel. This was the first Garand I ever purchased not from the CMP to me. This one is in my top 5.
