Return Greek CMP Garands in .308

Would anybody know if the Greek CMP return Garands ever came in .308 chamber?

As far as I know they were all in the correct caliber of .30-'06.

If they were...and they were not, they would have been 7.62 NATO not 308. Greece returned the rifles in the same caliber that we loaned them to them in. 30-06. I seem to remember that we also may have supplied them with a quantity of replacement barrels.
