I’ve finally bought a Garand and am super stoked. Mine is a 4 million Springfield from 1952 as far as I can tell. I’ve read the best new production ammo was the American Eagle 150 grain FMJ Garand Ammo. Any thoughts on this? I couldn’t find any locally so ordered some from Cabelas.

Personally, I never shot the American Eagle in my garands. However, it should be safe to fire since it is made specifically for the garand.
Some of the other guys may add their opinions about it. If you plan to put a lot of rounds through you garand I would start looking for some HXP or
Lake City surplus ammo. It is cheaper than the American Eagle. If you reload, that may be the cheapest way to go.Looking for SA bayonet 1045220 -
I've shot the AE ammo and haven't had any issues with it. Good stuff. A little bit of a cheaper alternative is Garand specific PPU ammo. Also great stuff. And there's Sellier & Bellot too ;-)Comment
