    5.7 HRA Papered Collector Grade

Saw this one for sale the other day and made the seller a offer which he accepted. I really didnt need another Garand but I didnt expect him to take my offer either. T There is next to no finish wear to metal in receiver track or on bolt. I would guess it was issued and spent most of her days in a rack somewhere. There are dings and dents in the wood from rifles setting beside it

Nice rifle. HRA was the best made M1s next to Springfields. Take a look at the lack of machine marks. Look at any Winchester M1 Garand or M1 Carbine and look at all the machine marks. HRAs along with Springfields were made with pride. I like IHC M1s but they do not match up to HRAs. H&R being a company that made mostly low end firearms made not only M1 Garands ,but M14s and M16s. No other gun company can make that claim.

Bill that is gorgeous.. I agree with RDS, I have one HRA and it's a collector grade and in sheer aesthetics and workmanship the rifle is simply superb. Great find!

Very nice rifle. Only a guess but based upon the stenciled rack number it was most likely a US weapon and not a returnee from Greece or Turkey. Not that it makes a difference on a nice rifle like this but to some people it might.
