Help dating this M1 PLEASE!

Can anyone tell me what year and anything special about this M1? I am new to the forum and would appreciate all the help.

First, welcome to the forum
Receiver and barrel dates to Feb 1944. Cant tell you anything more without detailed pics of the rest of the rifle

What other info would I need off the rifle to make sure it is a WWII M1. The guy with it said it was a national match but I thought those came out in 1953.

You are missing a digit, serial is 2630599, the 2 is hard to see in the pic
