    M1 Garand/M14 parts interchangeability

For reference, can someone that knows both systems very well post a list of every part that can be used in both rifles. I know some of the usual suspects but I'm not expert on Garands to know the whole list. This will also be an aid for items in the classifieds for us M14 guys.Thanks.

Off the top of my head:
    Safety
    Hammer
    Hammer pin
Hammer Spring Housing, Spring and Guide
    Trigger
    Trigger Pin
    Complete rear sight
    Extractor
    Extractor spring/plunger
    Rear handguard clip
Rear Swivel and Screw and Short screw if wood stock

    Did I forget anything???

Excuse the old photos, but long before the commercial M1A clones of the M14, we use to build these
look alikes using M1 receivers (Tom in NJ has better examples & photos). The M14 barrel will index
and the stock modified. This rifle in my photos is converted to use the M14 magazines. The rear section
of the M1 operating rod is used with a new straight rod. Around 1971 or so, some demil M1 receivers
were weld together to make a short receiver for the 7,62x51mm, I thought they were neat,

To add to the outstanding info above, I believe that M1 front sights could also be used on the very first version of the M14 flash suppressor. I think they call it the Type 1 flash suppressor, or something to that affect. Not really common these days, the Type 1 flash suppressor can be found on very early M14s and all T44E4 rifles I believe. Mine is attached to a 1959-dated barrel.

            Is the ejector interchangeable?

No it is not, the M14 is bigger and the spring is longer

Isn't there something about M1 hammer spring housings working better in M14 semi-auto clones? Some wings on M14 housings for full auto? Or am I mistaken (again)?
