    M1 Garand military stocks

I have an International Harvester with 0145 marked in the channel with no letters preceding the numbers. I was wondering if should restore the stock or keep it original. I bought 4 stocks recently, 3 military M1 Garands and one M1 Carbine. I want to keep the value of them so I might be able to have some trading power towards an original M1A wooden military stock. I currently have the hunting stock on my Garand but need the military stock. Hoping you great guys can help, any advcie would be greatly appreciated. The first three pics are from the international harvester stock, with the markings 0145 in the channel and the IH symbol, I think, a square with an anvil and 3 dots onside? You guys would be more versed in this than me and I will greatly appreciate any help and advice.Click image for larger version

I meant I have the hunting stock on my Springfield M1A, not garand

Your stock was made on the 14th day of 1955. IHC stocks are dated a la the Julian calender. Check out my response in the Pro Boards forum.

The stamp on the stock is the DOD acceptance stamp. It is an eagle with out-stretched wings, not an anvil.
