Original GI M1 Shipping Barrels

Page 459 of Canfield's book shows an ad for "Original GI M1 Shipping Barrels," which were used to store and ship WW2 and Korean War era M1 Garand rifles. The Special Collector's Price is listed as $29.00.

Has anyone seen these before, and does anyone here own one or two they could take photos of?
