Three of us shot a local 3 gun match with Garands today. Wicked good fun and great exercise for the old rifles. Mine (1942) was the youngest Garand there.

Each stage ended up needing three Enblocs. It probably added 10 seconds per stage. Also, running the Garand at speed is tough as the steel buttplate is walking around the shoulder. Next time I will use a pull on rubber pad to stop the sliding. We also found the hot muzzle would melt the dump barrel a bit. We intend to solve that with T37 flash hiders.
It was a fun change to the wide open with a big stick in the AR.
The match director talked about adding a Garand division for next season.
